ParisSaint-Germain completed a 3-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in a Uefa Champions League clash on Wednesday, in Ukraine. The Ukrainian club had very little to offer in the first half. Their misfortune was summed up by the 2-0 half-time deficit thanks to strikes from Serge Aurier and David Luiz as PSG looked in total control.
In the seventh minute, Les Parisiens had their first goal by Aurier. He slotted in a great header after a cross from the left flank. Luiz extended the lead when he punished some sloppy defending by the home team.
In the second stanza the hosts improved and their presence was felt by Laruent Blanc’s boys. However, Mircea Lucescu’s lads were unable to score a goal to find their way back into the game. The Miners were punished when Zlatan Ibrahimovic snatched a third goal in the last minute.
The striker gambled to reach a forward ball and his poke past the keeper was helped on its way by Darijo Srna. The 3-0 win places Blanc’s boys in second place in Group A behind Real Madrid on goal difference. Shakhtar remains with just one after two games.
