This Saturday, January 16th at the Barclays Center in New York, Deonaty Wilder will be defending his WBC belt for the third time, against Artur Szpilka, and both offered spectacular public workouts just a couple of days before the big one. Wilder says: ‘I am happy to be in New York. There is a great history of the heavyweight division in the heart of this city. I am very happy to fight at the Barclays Center. This year will be great for Deontay Wilder fans who will be very happy with my performance. My goal is to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. I am sure I am going to get there someday. I am the best in the world. I am going to prove it!’
On the other hand, Artur Szpilka says: ‘I want to be the first world heavyweight champion from Poland. I am so ready, and this is so important for my country. Wilder is a tough rival. He is tall and strong but he still is a human. I know I can defeat him. He makes mistakes. I am aware of that, so I know what I need to do. I have been studying him a lot, and I will be the new world champion.’
This clash, with is expected to be explosive, will be broadcast live through Showtime and on SuperSport in South Africa.
