The University of Pretoria came from two goals behind to beat Moroka Swallows 3-2 at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday in the Absa Premiership. The home side did not waste much time as they started attacking from the word go. Lerato Chabangu scored the first goal for the Dube Birds showcasing good finishing skills.
After Chabangu’s goal the game became quiet for the rest of the first half, however Swallows doubled their lead six minutes into the second half after Vuyisile Wana played in Felix Obada to slot home and make it 2-0 to the hosts. The tables started to turn in the 60th minute after Tuks were awarded a penalty after Luvhengo Mungomeni handled the ball in the box and Atusaye Nyondo made no mistake and converted from the spot. Nine minutes after pulling one back the visitors had a renewed spirit and were rewarded with another goal as they equalised.
This time Geoffrey Massa’s pass saw Thabo Mnyamane scoring the second goal for Steve Barker’s men. Swallows were now under pressure and were struggling to contain the visitors who were taking the game to them. The home side failed to keep the score level and gain at least a point for their efforts as they conceded another goal in the 84th minute after they failed to clear a corner kick and the ball fell to Partson Jaure who made no mistake and netted the third for AmaTuks.
