Swansea City left Newcastle with all three points after a 3-2 English Premier League win on Saturday at St James’ Park. Swansea made it clear for Newcastle United that this will not be an easy game at all by the strong attacks. The Magpies missed an early chance when Ayoze Perez’s header from the centre of the box missed to the right assisted by Vurnon Anita’s cross.
The Tyneside club was the first to score after they scored an opening goal in the 20th minute. Perez’s left-footed shot from very close range found the centre of the goals. The match was delayed because of Daryl Janmaat’s injury next.
The visitors scored an equaliser when Nelson Oliveira’s header from the centre of the box found the top right corner. This was assisted by Gylfi Sigurdsson with a cross from a corner. Ryan Taylor missed an opportunity with a right footed shot from outside the box which went close, but missed to the left from a direct free kick.
The Swans scored another goal to make it 2-1. Sigurdsson’s right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner was assisted by Jefferson Montero. An attempt missed by Jack Colback could have levelled for John Carver’s men but he missed.
A third goal arrived for Garry Monk’s men when Jack Cork’s left-footed shot from very close range hit the bottom left corner. The hosts scored a second goal in the 87th minute courtesy of Siem De Jong but it was too late as Carver’s men went down 3-2.
