Swansea City defeated Arsenal 2-1 in an English Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday. Swansea had a great first half in the game putting pressure on the Gunners but they failed to write their names on the scoreboard. Alexis Sanchez gave the visitors the lead with a clinical finish on 64 minutes but there was a twist in the tale yet.
Garry Monk’s men were bank in the match when Gylfi Sigurdsson levelled matters on 75 minutes and the Welshmen sniffed blood. The Swans moved in for the kill just a few minutes later when Bafetimbi Gomis netted to seal it for the hosts and end a miserable week for Arsene Wenger, who watched his side throw away a three-goal lead in the Uefa Champions League in the week against Anderlecht.
