Sergio Parisse Back For Italy

Captain Sergio Parisse is back for Italy’s crucial 2015 Rugby World Cup clash against Ireland on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium in London.  Jacques Brunel’s boys are boosted by the return of the skipper in a must-win encounter.  Having already fallen to France, the Azzurri cannot afford to lose against the Irish if they are to achieve a first-ever quarter-final berth at the World cup.

Parisse returns to wear the number eight shirt after missing the first two games through injury.  Only one previous World Cup encounter has taken place between these two sides and that was at the most recent tournament, on 2 October 2011 in Dunedin, with the Shamrocks winning comfortably 36-6 to eliminate the Italians from the competition.
