Rilee Rossouw Called Up To Proteas Test Squad

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Sunday named Rilee Rossouw as the replacement for Quinton De Kock in the Proteas squad for the remaining two Test matches against the West Indies to be played at St. George’s Park and Newlands over the festive period.  De Kock has been ruled out by an ankle ligament injury sustained in the first Test match at SuperSport Park.  “Rilee has been knocking on the door for some time.  He and Temba Bavuma shared a partnership of 343 at a run rate of almost four to the over in the recent winning series for South Africa A against Australia A.  The fact that he has also recently represented the Proteas in both the limited overs formats means that he will integrate easily into the Proteas squad system,” commented CSA selection convener, Andrew Hudson.

Revised South Africa Test squad:

Hashim Amla (Nashua Cape Cobras, capt)
AB De Villiers (The Unlimited Titans, vice-capt)
Alviro Petersen (bizhub Highveld Lions)
Dean Elgar (Titans)
