IBF/IBO and “The Ring Magazine” heavyweight champion and WBA/WBO super champion Wladimir Klitschko will defend his titles against Tyson Fury on November 28 at ESPRIT arena in Düsseldorf. Tickets keep their validity. Originally scheduled on October 24th the fight has been postponed due to an injury to Klitschko.
After a comprehensive medical examination the champion has been given a green light today for the fight to proceed at the end of November. The Ukrainian says: ‘My injury will heal quickly enough for me to enter the ring on November 28. I will promptly continue my training camp preparations and, of course, I am very happy to still be fighting this year, especially for my fans who have already bought their tickets.’ In 19 years of professional boxing the 39-year old is 64-3 with 53 knockouts.
The last time “Dr Steelhammer” was defeated in the ring was way back in April 2004 when Lamon Brewster won a TKO in the fifth round. The Briton is undefeated in 24 bouts with 18 coming within the distance.
