Minimal Changes For Cheetahs

The Free State Cheetahs have shown four changes in the match day squad for Saturday’s Absa Currie Cup semi-final in Johannesburg.  Coach Franco Smith has picked Niel Marais to start at flyhalf with Sias Ebersohn on the bench, Torsten Van Jaarsveld is back after doing duty for Namibia at the Rugby World Cup and will be replacing Neil Rautenbach on the bench, Maks Van Dyk was declared fit and will be replacing Teunis Nieuwoudt as a reserve while Freddy Ngoza will be making space for AJ Coertzen on the bench.

In what can be seen as a great success for Free State Rugby, three teams have actually qualified for the Currie Cup semi-finals this weekend.  The under-19’s will be travelling to Port Elizabeth where they will be taking on EP on Friday afternoon at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, while the under-21 team will face the Sharks at home.
