Zimbabwe was flying high as they thumped Swaziland 4-0 in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Zimbabwe National Sports Ground in Harare on Monday. The hosts, who earned a 1-1 draw against the same opponent three days ago, totally controlled the match from the start. Despite the home team keeping much of the possession, they were made to wait as the game went to the break without any goals.
Kalisto Pasuwa would have been relieved to see Belgium-based striker Knowledge Musona open the scoring from the penalty spot. The Zimbabweans continued to pile the pressure on the visitors and six minutes later Costa Nhamoinesu doubled the lead. The home fans were jumping around like it was a fiesta.
Maritzburg United striker Evans Rusike grabbed his goal to increase the advantage. Later, Khama Billiat completed the rout when he netted the fourth for his side. In the end, the Warriors collected maximum three points to go three points clear of the second-placed Swazis.
