Swaziland was held to a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Somhlolo National Stadium on Friday. Felix Badenhorst gave the home side a great start as he netted a beautiful header inside three minutes. The pace of the game went down as the first half progressed though.
What stood out was the likes of Knowledge Musona and Matthew Rusike being kept quiet throughout the first stanza. The Zimbabweans levelled the score through an own goal by Ndokuito Ndlovu after a good corner by Musona. The second stanza produced some bright stuff from the Warriors as Musona forced Nhlanhla Gwebu to make a good save.
Khama Billiat saw his shot go wide as the visitors were pressing for a winner. Musona’s shot was punched for a corner in the latter stages. Ultimately, Harris Mulunga will be happy with the point at home as Sihlangu Semnikati and Zimbabwe settled for a draw.
