The Lions bagged an unexpected 13-10 win against the Blues at the QBE Stadium in Saturday’s Vodacom Super Rugby action. Elton Jantjies kicked off the game as the visitors scrambled with the hosts moving the ball near halfway. The home side gave away a penalty near their 10 meter line because they were offside but Jantjies missed the shot.

The Blues were then penalised for being offside which saw Jantjies make up for the earlier missed penalty to even matters at 3-3. Jerome Kaino scored the first try of the game and this was followed by a conversion by West which saw the hosts extend the lead to 10-3.
