Liam Jordaan Withdraws From South Africa Under-17 For Tanzania Match

The South African Men’s Under-17 National Team (Amajimbos) were forced to make a late change to the squad for their crucial 2015 African Youth Championship qualifier against Tanzania.  Bidvest Wits midfielder Liam Jordaan had to withdraw from the squad as he was late for the mandatory vaccination and he was replaced by School of Excellence midfielder Thato Ramogogodi.  Ramogogodi, who is already in Tanzania with the squad, was part of the six players that were left out of the final 18-man squad from the tour of Botswana and Lesotho.

Amajimbos safely arrived in Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania on Tuesday evening for the qualifier that will take place on Friday, 18 July at the Azam Stadium.  Kick-off is at 16:00 local time in Tanzania (15:00 SA time).  The South Africans will have their first training session on Wednesday afternoon.
