Kevin Anderson Wins In Tokyo

South Africa’s Kevin Anderson was a first round winner at the Japan Open on Monday over Austria’s Dominic Thiem 7-6 (5), 6-4.  The seventh seed served 11 aces in his one hour and 45 minutes on court.  The Austrian only won 38% of his second serve compared to the 53% of Anderson.

The 28-year old will face America’s Rajeev Ram or France’s Jeremy Chardy in the second round in Tokyo.
