Kaizer Chiefs recorded a 2-1 win away from home against Mpumalanga Black Aces in the Absa Premiership at Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday. Mandla Masango scored the opening goal for Chiefs within 12 minutes of the game. Kingston Nkhatha could have doubled the lead in 14 minute but his effort struck the woodwork.
The home side started reacting in the last 10 minutes of the first half and Aubrey Ngoma made no mistake when he scored against Itumeleng Khune to level matters. It didn’t take long for Amakhosi to go back in front with Reneilwe Letsholonyane’s goal from a tight angle just a few before 1st half. Khune pulled off a brilliant double save to deny Tendai Ndoro and Collins Mbesuma the chance to score.
George Maluleka, who missed few chances, should have made it three in the 77th minute, but his header was too wide. The second half produced more chances for both teams to score but there was no goal and it finished as a victory to Stuart Baxter’s side.
