Kaizer Chiefs On The Brink

Kaizer Chiefs face Polokwane City on Wednesday evening in a match that could see the club clinch the 2014/15 Absa Premiership title with three games to spare.  Amakhosi lead their nearest challengers Mamelodi Sundowns by 13 points and victory for the home side would put Stuart Baxter’s men in an unassailable position.  Baxter says:  ‘We are aware of the position but all we can do is concentrate on our own mission.’

Baxter, who will be back on the bench after missing the last two league matches added:  ‘If we continue to win our games, the title will sooner or later be ours.’  The Naturena Glamour Boys have 60 points on the league table compared to the 47 of Sundowns, after 18 wins, six draws and just two defeats.  Three points against Rise and Shine would see Chiefs reclaim the title after surrendering it to the capital club last season.

The match kicks off at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday, 22 April, 2015 at 19:30.  Tickets can be purchased at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets, costing R40 for adults and R10 for children under the age of 12.
