Kaizer Chiefs Fined

Itumeleng Khune was found guilty of bringing the Premier Soccer League into disrepute by reason of statements made on social network Twitter.  Khune was fined R50 000 of which R25 000 was suspended for 12 months on condition that he was not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.  He was also ordered to pay the costs of the sitting of the Disciplinary Committee.

Meanwhile Bobby Motaung was found guilty of insulting a match official.  He was sentenced to a fine of R 20 000 suspended for 12 months on condition that he was not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of  suspension.  Motaung was also ordered to pay the costs of the sitting of the Disciplinary Committee.

Kaizer Chiefs and Stuart Baxter were found guilty of disregarding a PSL directive concerning the participation of suspended club officials in official football activities.  Baxter was sentenced to a fine of R20 000 suspended for 12 months on condition that he was not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.  The club was fined R 50 000 and was ordered to pay the costs of the sitting of the DC.
