West Ham United and Arsenal play out to a 3-3 draw in a thrilling English Premier League encounter at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday. In an action packed opening half that saw the the visitors race to a comfortable 2-0 lead through two cool, calm and collected strikes from Mesut Oezil and Alexis Sanchez inside the opening 35 minutes. However the hosts were not quite going to stand for that as Andy Carroll and company brought the half to a close scoring two in quick succession to draw level at the break.
In the second stanza Slavin Bilic’s boys picked up where they left off with Carroll completing his hat trick with a thumping header to take his side into the lead at 3-2. The Hammers dominated for long periods from that point and were defending their slender lead. However that all changed in the 70th minute when Laurent Koscielny fired home an Oezil corner to level the playing field once more.
Both sides grappled for a winner but neither side would budge at the end as the match ended all square at 3-3. As a result both sides share the spoils, adding a point each to their tally as they remain in third and sixth place respectively.
