Golden Arrows will return to the Absa Premiership next season after securing the National First Division title on Sunday.  A 1-1 draw against Cape Town All Stars, coupled with Jomo Cosmos’ 2-1 loss to Thanda Royal Zulu, sees Arrows returning to the top flight after just one season in the National First Division.  Abafana bes’Thende sit on 57 points with one more match remaining in the season.

Premier Soccer League (PSL) CEO, Brand De Villiers has congratulated the newly crowned 2014/15 NFD champions.  De Villiers says:  ‘The 2014/15 National First Division title race has been a great contest between some of the NFD clubs.  Golden Arrows have been rewarded for showing consistency and determination throughout the season.  We would like to congratulate Golden Arrows management, coach Shaun Bartlett, the players and the club supporters for this achievement.  We would also like to commend Jomo Cosmos, Cape Town All Stars, Thanda Royal Zulu and Black Leopards, amongst others, for pushing the champions hard until this moment.’

At the other end of the table there was bad news for the likes of Maluti FET College and GaRankuwa United, who have been relegated to the ABC Motsepe League.
