Goalless Draw At White Hart Lane

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United played out a scoreless draw in their English Premier League encounter at White Hart Lane on Sunday.  Both sides had chances early on.  United’s best one came from a Juan Mata free kick which deflected off the post and the rebound was carefully watched by both Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao, however they were denied when Vlad Chiriches cleared off the line.
Van Persie had another chance when he found himself in some space  but was denied by Hugo Lloris.  The home side didn’t have many chances to speak of but they did have a good one when Ben Davies found himself in some space and launched a long range attempt that was saved by David De Gea as the sides headed into the half-time break all square.  In the second half Spurs opened with a good chance from Andros Townsend who launched a shot from range but once again they were denied by De Gea.
The visitors had a huge chance themselves when Rafael made a move from the right and found Mata to only send his shot over the crossbar.  Both sides had chances but neither seemed to find a way through as the game ended in a goalless draw.
