Crystal Palace beat Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park on Sunday in an English Premier League upset. The Toffees began the first half of the game with Samuel Eto’o attempting to score but failed. Within 10 minutes Romelu Lukaku scored the first goal of the game after he was assisted by Leon Osman. Samuel Eto’o missed another attempt to score but it was going according to plan with the hosts in front.
Roberto Martinez’s men won a lot of free kicks but failed to score another goal. Meanwhile Mile Jedinak scored a goal for Palace to level matters ahead of the break. One of the first incidents of the second half was a foul by Jason Puncheon. Scott Dann tried to sneak a through ball but his teammates were found offside.
The third goal of the match arrived courtesy of Fraizer Campbell who scored the second goal for the Eagles with a header. The third goal for Neil Warnock’s men came from Yannick Bolasie after an assist by Puncheon. Puncheon received a yellow card afterwards and a few minutes later Steven Naismith received a yellow card for a bad foul.
A second goal for Everton was scored by Leighton Baines but it was scant consolation as the game ended 3-2 to the Londoners.
