Cotto Can’t Wait

Miguel Cotto says he is ready and cannot wait to fight Saul Alvarez on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.  The Puerto Rican says:  ‘I feel great with my age, I am only more focused on what I want now.’ The WBC middleweight champion was speaking from his training base at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles.
He says:  ‘I am ready to offer up a fantastic fight, the team I have formed with my trainer Freddie Roach has been simply amazing.  The experience that I have now is a bonus that has helped me during my recent bouts and this time won’t be an exception.’  Roach remembers when he first met Cotto and says he is now a much more complete boxer:  ‘Cotto has a lot of qualities.  He knows how to move his legs, he makes awesome lateral movements, he punches from different angles and knows he is one of the most complete boxers of today.  What worries me the most is that Alvarez takes him to the ropes,  as he is real dangerous there.  We are going to be very intelligent and we are going to execute a brilliant game plan.’
