Chiefs And Sundowns Play Out To A Draw

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns played out a 1-1 draw in the Absa Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.  The match started off slow as both teams sized each other up.  It was Chiefs who had an early chance when Siphiwe Tshabalala put Kingston Nkhatha in on goal however the striker’s shot was easily dealt with by Kennedy Mweene.
For the visitors Themba Zwane took a shot but his deflected attempt was stopped by Brilliant Khuzwayo as things remained goalless going into the break.  After half-time the Brazilians took the lead as Teko Modise found his way through the Amakhosi defence and  struck one past Khuzwayo.  The home side had a chance to equalize soon after when a Shabba corner was saved however they got their goal through a George Lebese strike.
There was a definite change in the game from then on as it was more open with the score level at 1-1.  Both sides continued to search for a winner in the final few minutes however neither was able to snatch the three points as the math ended in a 1-1 draw.
