Chelsea were far too good for MK Dons as they thumped their opponents 5-1 at Stadium MK on Sunday afternoon in the FA Cup fourth round. The Blues ran riot from the onset with Oscar finding the first three goals for his side. In the 16th minute, the Brazilian maestro popped up with a calm finish after Diego Costa had sent his attempt across the face of goal.
The Dons pulled one back through Darren Potter in the 22nd minute thanks to a deflection. Guus Hiddink’s side were in the driving seat throughout the first half but somehow goals proved hard to come by until the 32nd minute when Oscar found the back of the net to restore the lead. Despite having the advantage, the Premier League outfit kept on bullying their opponents until Oscar bent his shot from range to seal his hat-trick in the 44th minute.
The second stanza started slowly but the two sides remained resolute and clinical in their passing game. In the 55th minute, Eden Hazard was brought down inside the area resulting in a penalty. The Belgian got up and struck home to make it 4-1. The match was all but lost for the hosts by the hour mark but it was not over yet.
In the 62nd minute, Bertrand Traore opened his account as a Blues player with a lovely finish and it was a case of all she wrote.
