Cheetahs Change Two For Force Clash

The Toyota Cheetahs team to take on the Western Force on Saturday, 11 April at 13:45 (SA Time) at the nib Stadium in Perth, Australia has been announced.  There are only two changes to the Free State franchise – upfront with BG Uys starting and Danie Mienie moving to the bench and at the back with Sarel Pretorius back in the starting line-up and Tian Meyer on the bench.  Australian referee, Rohan Hoffmann will be in charge of Saturday’s Vodacom Super Rugby Round 9 match between the Force and the Bloemfontein boys.

This will mark the ninth Super Rugby encounter between the two teams since 6 May 2006.  The Perth franchise is leading with five wins to the three wins of the Cheetahs.  It will also be the fourth time the teams meet at the nib Stadium since 27 April 2007.

The last time the Force hosted Naka Drotske’s men on 23 March 2013 the Bloemfontein-based side won 19-10.  The Force, however, won the last match on 10 May 2014 at the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein, 23-16.
