Merciless Borussia Dortmund thrashed Galatasaray 4-0 in the Uefa Champions league match at Turk Telekom Arena in Istanbul on Wednesday. The German outfit recorded their third straight win which sees the side on top of Group D with nine points. Dortmund are followed by Arsenal, who are second with six points, Anderlecht third and the Turks who are are last with only one point.
Juergen Klopp’s men started the game on a high and they opened the scoring after five minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang slotted home a Marco Reus pass. A through ball from Lukasz Piszczek saw Aubameyang clinch his brace with a clinical finish to make it 2-0 in favour of the visitors. Reus scored the third goal five minutes before half time after good work from former Manchester United winger Shinji Kagawa.
The second half saw the game lose its spark with Dortmund seemingly taking their foot of the pedal to slow down the pace of the game as they were in a very comfortable lead. However a fourth goal would arrive in the 83rd minute when Adrian Ramos ensured that Dortmund finished off a fine night in style.
