Callie Visagie and Marcel Van Der Merwe will both miss training this week as the Blue Bulls prepare for their opening match in the 2014 Absa Currie Cup competition against the Golden Lions in Johannesburg on August 9th. Van der Merwe has a foot injury, while Visagie has a back strain. Roelof Smit (flanker) has responded well to treatment for a quad strain and will be able to train on Thursday, Blue Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed. Bjorn Basson (ankle, three weeks) and Jacques Du Plessis (jaw, three weeks) is also recovering well.
