Italy centre Andrea Masi is out of the rest of the 2015 Rugby World Cup as a result of a subcutaneous rupture of his achilles tendon in his left leg, suffered on Saturday against France at Twickenham. The Wasps midfielder was admitted to hospital in Guildford to consult a specialist. The Azzurri went down 32-10 in the Pool D clash against Les Bleus.
The player has left the camp and will in the coming days seek consulatation on his course of treatment. On Monday the Italian coaching staff will announce the replacement for Masi for the rest of the tournament.
