Amajimbos won 6-1 in a friendly practice match against Pimville Cameroon on Friday morning at the UJ training grounds before heading off to Mbombela for their international friendly against Mali. The clash will be played at Mbombela Stadium, kick-off at 12:30. Amajimbos were meant to have left Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon for the friendly match against Mali’s Under-17 team.
But coach Molefi Ntseki opted to play a practice match ahead of the clash on Sunday. The match will be played at Mbombela Stadium as curtain-raiser to the Bafana Bafana vs Nigeria international. Ntseki said: ‘We have a new squad to that which participated in the 2015 CAF CAN in Niger, and we as the technical team felt it necessary to access the new players in a match situation hence the friendly this morning. We are very impressed with the level of talent these boys have. We are looking at a huge pool of players as part of our preparations for the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup and we are confident that come October in Chile we will be a nation to be reckoned with.’
