Luke Donald leads the Nedbank Golf Challenge going into the final round at the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City after a three-under 69 took him to 13-under overall. Donald leads Danny Willett by one shot after Willett’s 65 propelled him into contention on Saturday. The best-placed South African is Louis Oosthuizen, although the 2010 Open Championship winner is a massive nine shots behind and unlikely to challenge on Sunday.
Donald’s 69 was far less spectacular than his Friday 63 but nevertheless the Englishman is the leader with 18 holes to play. The former world number one hit five birdies on Saturday finding success at the fourth, seventh, ninth and tenth holes. What was looking like a great round took a dent with bogeys at the thirteenth and seventeenth holes before a birdie at the eighteenth ensured the lead for the 36-year old.
